This months member spotlight is shining brightly on Trina Kurtz. The coaches recognize Trina’s steady, significant progress in Crossfit and she continues to set the example for determination and willingness to put in the hard work. She is always looking for new ways to challenge herself physically and we couldn’t be more proud of her!
Trina, THANK YOU for being apart of our community and keeping that smile on your face every time you walk through the front door. You’re energy and motivation is contagious and we are all lucky to call you a friend.
“My journey with The Fighting Fit started many years ago when Barry opened a studio in one of the store fronts in downtown Wyandotte; I
believe it was on Maple but I am geographically challenged and I’ve aged a bit. I have started and stopped for many many reasons following him from there to the building with all the glass to Studios A & B and then now he’s kind of stuck with me here on 13th.
I started Crossfit I believe almost 3 years ago and although I really wasn’t sure I liked it, I kept coming back. At first it was the coaches and the people of TFF that kept me coming back. Then somewhere along the way I fell in love with not only Crossfit but the whole TFF family. I am more physically and mentally fit now than I was in the Marine Corps
many, many years ago when I was young and dumb.
One of my proudest moments of being part of this TFF family was when I finally got my entire family to join our Crossfit family.
I am not a competitive person by nature but I compete with myself. The coaches are always challenging me and motivating me to be better than I was yesterday (seeing the cellulite turn to muscle helps as well). I can no longer imagine life without Crossfit and the people of TFF in my life. There are many many times when I just want to give in to being status quo or not pushing myself and there’s always someone there to make sure I don’t. Then and when there isn’t, there is always those red shoes that inspire me everyday I’m there.
Thank you to all the coaches and TFF family that have been there and supported me on my journey. I really don’t have the words to express the gratitude and appreciation I have for you all.”
