Matt Smith – April 2017

Congrats to Matt Smith, our April Member of the month! Matt began his fitness journey with us in 2015 and since then has made several improvements in his training. Matt is always ready to tackle whatever the WOD may be for the day, and always walks in with a smile. He is a friendly face and always there to cheer you on. Thank you Matt for helping to make The Fighting Fit a better place for everyone! The coaches recognize your hard work and couldn’t be more excited that you are April’s Member of the Month. Congrats!

“I have always been someone who worked out, but over time the same old routine becomes well, very routine. About a year ago I decided to try out Crossfit, and never looked back from there. As soon as I joined all the coaches and members made me feel as if I had been going there my entire life. In the past year, I have learned how to push myself in new ways and continue to surprise myself every single day.

Something that you hear very often about Crossfit is the community that it forms – but I have to say it is very true at CrossFit Bad Boys. I not only look forward to class, but the people who I get to work out alongside with.

I recently decided to participate in the Crossfit Open. This was my first time doing it and I realized how far I’ve come in the past year. Withthat being said, I also learned the amount of work I need to put in to compete at the next level. My goals moving forward are to improve every single day and try out a competition sometime in the near future.

When I’m not working out I’m working at DHL. I was lucky enough to actually get a job in the field I went to school for. I would say that CrossFit has helped me in all aspects of my life. I am more confident in general and have learned to
use the gym as an escape from the rest of my life. I only feelthat I am becoming closer with everyone at the gym so I will probably be around there more and more. Overall, The Fighting Fit has the best coaches and best people around. It’s the one place where everyone just wants to improve themselves, and we’re all there to do it together.”
