This month the coaches are recognizing Erin McLoughlin. Erin joined The Fighting Fit in March and has been a great addition to the family. She encourages everyone she meets, always has a smile on her face & simply wants the best for everyone. Thank you Erin for setting such a great example and for pushing us all to be our best!
“I came to the fighting fit several months ago because I had an interest in personal training in both Krav Maga and strength and conditioning. I felt as though I was searching for a “diamond in the rough” so to speak when it
came to what I was looking for in a gym. I am an ex-military soldier with a deployment to a combat zone under my belt so I can be a bit shall we say “quirky?” I like to train like an animal! All out… All the time. I am gym infatuated. Needless to say the planet fitness/anytime models of the world don’t even come close to doing it for me. When I found The Fighting Fit I found my home. Finally a place where I got the people and I felt like they truly “got me” even with my quirks. Sure I have lost weight and gotten stronger, but it is so much more than that. I feel that I have gained a community of people who care. There are no egos here its just a bunch of people who want to see one another succeed, which these days that is hard to find.
I am mostly a Kravist. I do occasionally do “baby” Crossfit (maybe one day I will play with the big boys and ladies.) Bob is my martial arts trainer and is nothing short of amazing. I am thankful for my relationship with him and where he has taken me with Krav Maga. He has helped me to believe in myself and my skills. Barry is an amazing coach and mentor on and off the floor to me. I could not have asked for better coaches. Todd is patient with me even when I am hard on myself and feel like I should be doing it better. He always reminds me that it takes patience, which I have very little of. I am truly thankful for all of the coaches as each one has given me inspiration.
Mostly I am thankful for our community of great individuals who encourage one another. Call me crazy, but I am one of those people who just enjoys seeing others succeed!”
